Guiderland senior headed to Olympic Trials | People

Jenna Bickel, a senior at Guilderland High School, is on her way to Omaha, Neb., to compete in the U.S. Swimming Olympic Trials for a spot on the Olympic swim team. 

Bickel, a member of the Delmar Dolfins swimming club, has many accomplishments under her belt, including placing 14^th at Nationals last November at Stanford University.

She has won the Section II Championships for the 100m backstroke three times, and twice at the New York State Championships. Jenna has also won the Speedo Sectional Championships in Buffalo for her 100m backstroke and been a member of the USA Swimming Scholastic All-America Team since 2009.

Jenna is a former NewsChannel 13 Dunkin Donuts Player of the Week and will be competing to qualify in the 100m and 200m backstroke.
