Worker dies at Watervliet Reservoir | News

GUILDERLAND – A maintenance worker contracted by the city of Watervliet died Wednesday at the Watervliet Reservoir in Guilderland.

Firefighters say the man’s death was the result of a health condition, not an accident.

The area where the man died can only be accessed by a narrow, spiral staircase. That was making it difficult for the emergency crew to remove the body. They were planning use a basket on a cable to pull the body up.
