Authorities identify person killed in Knox car accident | News

There is new information on the deadly rollover accident that happened in Knox last week.

Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple told NewsChannel 13, the person killed in that fiery accident is 21-year-old Matthew Arnold of Schoharie.

Arnold was arrested last October when he allegedly stole from a former employer. Last week's crash happened on Route 146 in the Town of Knox.

Authorities say the owner of the truck loaned it to someone in Schenectady. However, the person in Schenectady says the truck was taken from his driveway.

Arnold was seen on surveillance video driving the truck, buying gas and beer. The cause of the accident is still investigation.
