Charges dropped against teacher who bit student | Crime
The charges against an Albany County teacher accused of biting a student are being dropped.
A judge has agreed to dismiss charges against Michael Guerette, 50, as long as he doesn't get into any more legal trouble.
Guerette taught fifth grade in Voorheesville.
Police say he was arm wrestling with a student when a girl reached in front of him to help the boy win the match. That's when police say Guerette bit her.
He remains on paid administrative leave at the school while his case is reviewed internally.
