Juvenile Community Accountability Board to offer free training to interested volunteers | Community Spirit
The Juvenile Community Accountability Board is offering free training for those interested in becoming volunteers.
The board, also known as JCAB, is a program at the Albany County Probation Department that seeks to help juveniles understand the impact crime has had on the community, and to give them an opportunity to repair the harm that was caused. Board members are all volunteers who live, work or have some vested interest in the community.
The course will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 28 at the Albany County Probation Department.
There is no cost for this training. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. All training materials will be provided.
