Title (Max 100 Characters)
The Mendelssohn Club of Albany will be performing its traditional holiday concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, December 9 at The Egg in Albany.
The club's special guests for the evening will be the Niskayuna High School Bel Canto Singers, and the Bell Choir of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the theme for this year's holiday concert is "Welcome Yule!"
The 70-voice male chorus is the area's longest continuously performing arts group. An evening of both classical and popular holiday music is planned, and the concert offers a perfect way for Capital Region residents to welcome the holiday season.
"This holiday season we will sing a wide range of traditional carols and other songs to celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah," said club president Dr. Michael Casler in a statement. "We are very excited to welcome back Jeff Vredenburg, who previously served as the club's director from 1989 to 2001. We also are very excited to welcome two talented local groups from the Capital Region as our guests."
Tickets are $18.
