ALBANY - On Tuesday, June 26, the Albany County Health Department conducted a blind taste test of water provided by five local municipalities.
During the blind taste test, anyone who entered the county building was asked to taste the sample and then fill out a survey.
Guilderland was chosen as the best tasting in the region with Latham close behind.
Guilderland may now send a sample to the regional competition, the top two of which will compete in Syracuse at the state finals.
Other participants in Tuesday's competition were Albany, Bethleham, and Green Island.
