Additional Information
Hot Yoga is yoga practiced in a room that is heated to approximately 90°. Practicing yoga in a room with extreme heat serves various functions, including:
•Increases heart rate which speeds up the metabolism and leads to you burning a large number of calories.
•Causes greater muscle elasticity which allows you to tone and stretch the body in a way you never have before.
•Induces heavy sweating which refreshes your skin, causing it to become clearer and smoother over time.
•Helps your body to release toxins it has stored under the skin.
•Calms your mind and helps you stay motivated to make healthy choices. Things to do prior to your hot yoga session:
•Do not eat 2-3 hours before a hot yoga session.
•Drink plenty of water prior to class and be sure to bring water with you to drink throughout your session.
•Wear clothing that you are comfortable moving, stretching and sweating in.
•Arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the class start time so you can relax and get into the right state of mind to get the most out of your session.
